Yay! Aren't holidays wonderful? I've got wine and juice, good food, chocolates, I'm warm, I don't have to be anywhere soon, and nothing hurts. Life is good *g* I really feel like playing games! Do you have any favourite games? Computer games, I mean, or console, or Flash --that kind of thing. Tell me about them!

Hook, line, sinker, and the hunky fisherman in speedos at the end of it! Like some of my enlightened friends here had mentioned, once the show gets over that pervasive 'we're not like the original, goddammit' feeling, it really does take off. Also the sex, which didn't look promising in the first few episodes. Some extremely sad moments, which I can justify dramatically, but still --fucking hell. I definitely got to fancy Gale Harold, too, though not before he'd finally figured out that he wasn't playing Stuart and playing Brian the Stuart way didn't really work; his gaining some muscle and looking less like an overgrown beanstalk helped considerably. Big fan of Season 4 Kinney hair. Like I'd said before, love Emmet, love Ted, love Michael. Besides, Mikey + Zen Ben = HOTHOTHOT. Love Debbie's t-shirts. And I'm endlessly amused at how most of the actors' declared sexual orientation matches their dancefloor skills perfectly!

QAFUS ep.2 eww!! Ok, really didn't need to see that. I'm not getting hooked on this, at all. I really want to give this show a chance, but... :-/ Michael is the only thing I don't hate. He's marginally prettier than Vince. EWWWW, again. *bleaches brain* I'm also watching My so-called life (first time). Not overly impressed; it's rather depressing. (Gods, we didn't really wear those clothes did we??) Jared Leto's character is v. cute but annoying. Brian Krakow is cute. Other than that, I really need to start making the most of my weekends. Just generally being lazy and having a rest is unproductive. EDIT. QAFUS eps 3 & 4 Much better!! The whole Justin storyline is even more annoying than Nathan's, without the incentive of Justin being HOTHOTHOTSTUFF like Nathan was. And the directing is still utterly shit, as quite a bit of the acting. But they didn't kill Ted! I love Ted! I was so heartbroken when Phil died. And I rather love Emmet too, maybe even more than Alex. I'll watch 5 now, hope it doesn't disappoint. Then I'll decide if I get the rest. (they didn't kill Ted!)

Have I recently mentioned how much I love James Bond? Anyway, I was watching From Russia With Love yesterday, and it struck me that James Marsters took a lot from Sean Connery to make Spike. It was a bit of a delicious shock. Also, in case anyone is interested and has read Casino Royale (it doesn't work as well with the film), here's a v. short parody. Jimmy Bond, at age 8 probably. V. cute and fun. My brain, incidentally, has been sucked by icanhasacheezburger.com. I can haz Daniel Craig?

Have just finished Potter 7. What a load of tosh! Entertaining, to be sure, but... wot?? I still say sam_storyteller's Cartographer's Craft is infinitely better, more polished, better thought out. And the randomness! All that exposition, all the time! Just stick a knife in him and be done, boy! I can't even imagine what a mess the film will be. Anyway, I'm glad I was always right about a certain character. Or a few of them, rather.

Gah. Enjoying 3 hours of peace before I go back to NOT HAVING A FUCKING LIFE for another week. Someone shoot me, already. Edit. Ah, gotta love KT. Steve Hewitt Slash Appreciation Day ♥So, don't shoot me. Send Beanie over instead. Edit 2. I'd very much like to be somewhere sunny, pleasantly warm, on a comfortable couch, reading books, sipping daikiris, and having naps. Instead... :-/ I might have to start taking Portuguese classes. Edit 3. I really hate it when people can't tell the difference among rushed, mad, and in panic attack mode. I'm not angry. I'm not insane. I'm just really, really busy here. Could you for the love of god give me two minutes till I finish this?

Funny pic, from last hols. Found next to the swimming pool of a reasonably posh hotel. But... ( translation plztnx? )Some of you have seen it already, viz. new old friend marian_vil , who keeps badgering me to make a new post (and who is, incidentally, still chortling manically at Lil Leto's cereal bowl haircut). Here's looking at you, kid. Still waiting for your post a day ;p Hopefully with nummy rugbiers in. Got the scan xoxo, but can't read it at all! Too small. bloodydru's bday on Sun, have started slathering the drummer in frosting baking the stripper cake. We were lucky to get him at all, seeing as crawling_angel only just let him go after eating hers. Random hunk of the day: David Boreanaz, yum. ( feel like a bath yet? )Random quotage, stolen from someone's blog: Quotes - Golf and sex are about the only things you can enjoy without being good at. (Wrong: Music and sex. Who the hell cares about GOLF?)
- I wear black because I'm in mourning for my life
- Idealism is what precedes experience; cynicism is what follows.
- Life is a sexually transmitted disease.
- Life isn't fair. It's just fairer than death, that's all.
- Misery no longer loves company. Nowadays it insists on it.
- My one regret in life is that I am not someone else.
- Nobody will ever win the Battle of the Sexes. There's just too much fraternizing with the enemy.

Random rec of the day: Jules Verne's Le Tour du monde en 80 jours. (In French) Downloadable for free, and an excellent performance by Damien Genevois, expressive and appealing. Great for us commuting bitches, cos the trip from home to work often does feel like le tour du monde.

Right. Surgery! The Big Dreaded Event has come to pass. I'm still alive. Which is, as they say, proverbially Of The Good. Won't get the anat. path. results till sometime next week, and by then I will have spent the entire length of my much-needed holiday on things like bed-rest and pushing fluids. Which is almost as disgusting as it sounds, and a dreadful waste of a perfectly good holiday, but meh. What can you do. Over and done with, turn the page, new subject! Incidentally, I'm enjoying a trip down Memory Lane, so to speak, with a Buffy-Angel revival. As a matter of fact, a Spike / Xander / Angel revival, in any and all combinations, as anyone who's known me for, oh, a week, will be able to guess. Doyle was wonderful too, aww Doyle. And speaking of Doyles, all hail the marvellous wonder that is The Professionals DVDs. Bodie's perky, exquisitely rounded bum in all its glory, only ever surpassed by 1965 Paul McCartney's. Still looking for a new (for me) Brit band that's actually decent. As in, not mind-numbingly boring; or the miscarried foetus of Oasis and an epileptic fit. Feel free to enlighten me on the subject, all suggestions welcome. But there is such a thing as listening to too much American music, you see, and if I don't get something else soon I might have to start playing Take That to compensate. The horror, the horror. Pet peeve of the day: what on god's sweet Earth makes random internet children believe that other random internet people who've never heard of them care about their standardised fan tattoos? Just how many times can the Bo wings be posted at comms without our collective braincell going kerfpfffffft and dying? Anyway, flist people! Some of you moving, others who want to move, some having babies, others who definitely don't want to, some who travel, holiday-makers and slaves to the wage. What's up with the lovely lot of you? mood: still alive and kicking, mofos! |

hurra, n. molesworth + the grate hary potter! cheers cheers cheers, im in luv: http://www.alice.dryden.co.uk/ho_for_hog gwarts.htm Other than, I'm being pwned by Alexander fiction, can't get enough. And Lappy's got a virus, it seems. Re: work, I keep jumping out of the pan only to drop onto greater and hotter fires, it seems. Bah humbug. I do get a nice paycheck soon though, which will allow me to buy that gorg fake fur coat I saw on Fri. Still it doesn't make up for not being at home all fkkn day. Why don't I have any Molesworth icons, anyway? Must rectify icon situation asap. Very important: Livejournal still refuses to send me comment notifications, so I only depend on my memory to follow up on comments. (My memory sucks, as any fule kno.) Is it only me, or is this happening to any of you as well?

Hello lovelies ;) So, remember when I mentioned that I'd have to leave a poster of my Cheshire cat on the dungeon walls so you'd remember who I was? *g* Anyway, I'm fine, if sleep-deprived. I missed Sounds Like Slash, shame. Also, all I get on my inbox is endless spam from the Brewitt list, cos LJ has apparently stopped sending me comment notifications, the twat. If you've replied to a post or comment of mine in the past weeks, I've most probably missed it. Sorry about that :( Do tell me where, if you remember. Off to contemplate the wonders of muscled male thighs and possibly have a sandwich or something --Nadia made a food post and it's made me hungryyyy. Got a new Colin Farrell film to watch later, too. He's apparently gay in it. Yum. Any news?
